The World Issue class of Taylor's University organised a very interesting conference called "Hear us out!" where they aimed to raise awareness for various important and challenging current global issues. Among those topics like sustainability, child rights or poverty was also the issue of HIV/AIDS and the related problems. Various NGOs were invited to inform students and discuss this very relevant topics. We felt honored to get the chance to take part in this event as AIESEC TUC was invited to hold a workshop around HIV/AIDS education.
After an inspiring opening and keynote speech by Youssouf Mohammad Oomar from the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the attendants were aksed to in one workshop of their choice and we were happy that we had quite some students pariticpating in our session about HIV/AIDS.
In addition it was an interesting event for ourselves to inform us and exchange information with other organisaitons.
